Ghigos designed one of the three cup for the winners of Coppa Agostoni. The cycling race, most known as Giro della Brianza, now in its 66th edition, took place on 05th of july. All the cups area realized with wood. Ghigos, playing with perspectives and points of view, designs a rider, that becomes a sofa. It’s a changeable carving, it’s a present for sport world and, at the same time, for local crafts.

The installation proposes a “city of objects”, a gastronomic landscape set on a table, in a continuous interplay between architecture and design, among urban, domestic and culinary dimension. Ghigos Ideas is going to be involved in Quasar Outer Space, the second series of meetings focused on the new researches and experiments by contemporary artists, planned by Quasar designUniversity.
The conference will take place on 30th of March in Rome, and will show the relevant trend of creative action that wonders itself about tools and expressive potentials in addition to the various interactions between different arts.
AIAC is arranging the exhibit “Young Italian Architects 2010: un anno dopo”, between 28th of March and 1st of April during the international meeting in Selinunte (Greece). Alongside this event will be presented the brand new book YIA2010, which enclosed some of the last Ghigos Ideas projects.
The event organized by NIB “Premio nazionale per giovani architetti e paesaggisti” moves its steps to Bologna. The exhibit begins on February, 14th, ending on March, 3rd, togheter with the conference nearby Urban Center Atelier in which Ghigos Ideas will take part. The meeting is an exchange of ideas between the selected Architectural Departments and some businessman operating in the field.
From December 10 until December 19, Ghigos Ideas is set to curate an exhibition entitled “Cibo…e dintorni” organized by Fiera Milano at Palazzo Italia, in Berlin. The exhibition offers a wide overview about the italian attitude toward food design, displaying everything from objects to places.
Davide Crippa of Ghigos Ideas and Adone Brandalise come together to talk about Serendipity, during the meeting organized by Ordine degli Architetti di Padova, on 14 of november.
Ghigos Ideas arranged the conference with Stefano Boeri about the “Anti-city”. The event, performed on November, 15th at Politecnico of Milan during the course of Sintesi Finale, involved students talking about the modern dissolution of the borders between town and countries and the trend to fragment of urban societies.
Ghigos has been published, with the project of restaurant “Riverclub”, on the book “55 Fifty Five Hot Designers” . It is a worldwide selection of the best interior designs of 2011. The book was launched on the 2011 Frankfurt Book Fair.
From 12 to 18 of september Ghigos attends to Milano Ecoweek 2011, with workshop called “Regali Urbani”. This is a small urban portion, a street or a square, that participants are later called to upgrade with irony and provocation, following the inhabitants wishes, with special attention to children. Workshop was organized with Raffaella Colombo, Francesca Tenchini and Elena Verri.
