Ghigos has been published, with the project “Biblioteca dell’arte”, as a remarkable example of a comtemporary public library on the Korean magazine  “BOB, International Magazine of Space Design”, in the special issue about libraries.

Ghigos has been selected by NewItalianBlood as one of the most promisingarchitecture practices under age 36, in quality and quantity of their works “as a curriculum” and for their international outlook. A traveling exhibition will cross through several Italian cities, from July 2011 to February 2012 to introduce projects and designers.

Ghigos has been selected for the award “Rassegna Lombarda di Architettura under 40. Nuove proposte di architettura” with the project “Art Library”. The contest aims to enhance the work of young Lombard designers that stands out for the quality of the proposal and the research of integration between design, contents and territory.

After Fast Architecture “Ghigos Ideas” and  “LOGh” are back to design an ecological and sustainable architecture, together with the students of the Interior Design course at the Politecnico di Milano. The disposal of plastic bags becomes the opportunity to bring life to an unfinished public building in Ameno (Novara, Italy). Reuse a bin, as the plastic bag, can be a way to rethink an object giving it a new look and a new function.

A book of Davide Crippa and Barbara Di Prete, published by Maggioli Editore (Politecnica), born from an analysis of contemporary architecture, from which not just projects but strategies comes out, not unique solutions but unpredictable scenarios.

On 23 of June, at the Maxxi in Rome and at the MoMa in New York simultaneosly opens the exhibit of the competition Young Architects Program. Ghigos is one of the five emerging architecture practices selected and will show the project Fata Morgana. The project is an urban mirage, a succession of illusion, paradox and dreams that, fon once, become real.

Marcello Ziliani shows his work to the students of Politecnico di Milano during the course of interior design of Davide Crippa. Ziliani try to explain to the students to look at the world with different point of view, to speak slow and, above all, to listen to, because each project is always a dream of a flight.

In Fiorano Modenese, on 21 of may was inaugurated the new recreation center, an old farmhouse interpreted in a playful way, where you can see the tracks of the past. Cows become tables, horses dissimulate traditional libraries and birds show the function of each room. Click here to watch the video.

Ghigos partecipates in the project “Ama Foreste” by NABA with a workshop named “Ecological Alphabet”. It will be an ecological reflection, a way to discover the hidden alphabet behind trees and to imagine branches and leaves as typogrphical abstractions.
