Ghigos and Gardesa, famous company producing security doors, work together on the design for  the new 2014 collection.New bespoke products will be designed in collaboration with the Gardesa Technology Platform, thanks to its technical advice and the creative support.

Ghigos is supporting the city of Lissone in the design of what will be a “Museo Diffuso”, part of what is intended to be the Urban District of Commerce (DUC). It will be a museum for the city, hidden in its folds, with works spread along its shop windows and inside its workshops. The action will lead to a new urban perception to create the identity and a “new” memory for the town, which is known as “the town of design and furniture”.

From November 18th to 22th  Ghigos, in collaboration with Trenord, have hold a workshop with some students of the Politecnico di Milano – School of Design, for the upgrading and re-arrangement of the museum of work in Saronno. The aim was to use the historical evidence as a design tool to create a contemporary narrative, made out of personal stories and history of production.

Ghigos held a workshop for Master Executive in Design Management, Design for Innovative Environments of Tongji University from october 7 to october 11. The exhibition design discipline, revealing its wide range of applications, was the theme of the course, with lectures that presented this discipline as a privileged environment as to where to mix various competences.

Carries on the design of cluster for Expo 2015. The pavillions have been presented during an official conference in Pavia on July 15. Bangladesh, Cambogia, Laos and Myanmar are, for now, the countries of rice cluster that will “wear” reflexes for a landmark architecture.

On 7th of September opened, in Milan, the new SAE Institute campus, a Creative Media College with schools all over the world. Ghigos Ideas was entrusted by  S.M. to design common areas and the facade decoration. The visual project discloses and recalls the activities of the campus and the brand identity.

Ghigos  Ideas attends to Studi Aperti festival in Ameno (NO), from July 5 to July 7 2013. Ghigos shows the installation Apparecchiare la città , now the first collection for “Lago Maggiore Casalinghi”. It’s a project that involves a wide network of production firms to diffuse and promote the district production across the international markets.

Amongst the excitement of Milan Design Week an oasis is born, a place to stop, to reflect, and to make business. Ghigos will set up a space in Via Savona, that will become an exhibit for some companies and an exchange point. You will find also some fragment of the new collection Apparecchiare la città.

Food becomes rapresentative and draws a culinary fairy tale. Cheese as paint brush and ink to design an act of the story, to create a fantastic mise en place. We waiting for you on 5th of April for the workshop organized by Ghigos during the exhibit Project Food at Mart of Rovereto.
