Human Rights Comics
In Rome “Drawing the peace” becomes “Drawing for Human Rights”.
The initiative, on the occasion of the International Day for Human Rights, opened the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and contributes to the official launch of the international campaign of the United Nations : ” Justice and dignity for all.”
The exhibition of “Satirical Cartoons for Human Rights ” will show to the italian public drawings of the most influential cartoonists – editors from 25 countries of the world on the issues of rights , equality, freedom and dignity for all .
It’s followed by the conference “Drawing for Human Rights” and a meeting between students of universities and UN autothorities of UN.
It will also be presented to the press and the public the European premiere of the European website ” Know your rights2008 ” by the Department of Information of the United Nations .
All the initiatives are part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the universal declaration of Human Rights.
